Network Ten Broadcasts in May

Channel Ten yet again managed to become confused about the order in which episodes of The Simpsons should be screened. The special episode, Simpson Tide, was promoted nine spots at the start of the month. Interestingly, Ten's apparent promotion of Lisa the Simpson the following week may have actually been accurate, as this episode was preempted and similarly delayed at least twice in the US. Beyond this, nothing unusual happened in May to The Simpsons on Ten; new, Season Nine episodes screened on Wednesdays, and Season Eight and Seven repeats were shown, merged, on Sundays.

May saw a scheduling change to the weekday stream on Foxtel. The morning session was dropped completely, and from the 11th May only one episode was shown each day, at 7:00pm and repeated at 11:30pm. These changes were not accurately reflected in the May Foxtel Guide, but the correct schedule was provided by this web site. This stream completed Season Seven and showed all of Season Eight in May. The other three streams remained unchanged. Saturday and Sunday mornings showed from the middle of Season Seven through to the end of Season Eight, then recommenced with Season One and got as far as the middle of Season Two before the end of the month. Saturday evenings showed episodes from the end of Season Six, including both parts of Who Shot Mr Burns? Sunday evenings screened the end of Season Seven and the beginning of Season Eight.
