Network Ten Broadcasts in August

Although two episodes remained to screen from Season Nine, Ten's Wednesday, 7:30pm timeslot returned to the start of Season Six (at least, to episode 2F01). The last two episodes of Season Nine were shown, merged, on Wednesday, 19th August from 8:30pm. With the Season Six Hallowe'en special shown earlier in the night, this was quite a feast for Simpsons fans. On Sundays, both timeslots were dedicated to Season Five repeats during August, screening approximately in order, and just reaching the season's mid-point.

Three of Foxtel's Simpsons streams continued unchanged this month, but the Sunday evening timeslot moved from 6:30pm to 6:00pm; the repeat timeslots remained at midnight and 5:00am. Furthermore, after reaching the end of Season Eight, this stream jumped back to the start of Season Six (actually 2F33) on 23rd August. The lone weekday timeslot picked up from last month, midway through Season Three, and finished early in Season Four. Weekend mornings showed the last half of Season Seven and all of Season Eight before returning to the very first episode of Season One on the 16th, and nearly reaching the end of Season Two by the end of the month. Season Seven episodes were shown on Saturday evenings.
