Broadcast History for September

The Sydney Olympics inevitably caused confusion in September, Ten joining other networks in major scheduling rearrangements for the duration. Ten took the opportunity to carry new Simpsons timeslots out the other end, as well. In essence, though, three streams of The Simpsons aired on Ten in September, jumping across three different timeslots. The Sunday repeat timeslot actually concluded, for the time being, on the 10th September. The addition of extra weekday timeslots saw Season Ten episodes appear on Thursdays the 14th September, move to a lone Saturday timeslot at 8:00pm on the 16th September, then to Wednesdays at 7:30pm during the Olympics (20th and 27th) while the Thursday timeslot returned to Season Nine repeats. This saga was not resolved until October.

Foxtel Broadcasts in September

All four streams continued to screen until the Olympics. Then, from 4:00pm, Friday, 15th September until midnight the night of Sunday, 1st October, The Simpsons aired 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This marathon was called The Simpsons 24 Hour Fanfest. The Special, Behind the Fanfest, scheduled for Thursday, 14th September at 7:30pm and 1:45am called, did not air.
