Network Ten Broadcasts in October

Ten showed Season Six repeats from the middle of the season in the Wednesday timeslot, while the Sunday timeslot completed Season Five (rather, the 1Fxx episodes) on the 4th October and returned to the start of Season Four (actually 9F01) the following week. It was clear, by now, that Ten were paying more attention to p-codes to determine the episode order and season transitions than to the original screening information. This is not necessarily bad, but does require more care in predicting and understanding their episode screening order.

There was only one change in Foxtel's Simpsons timeslots in October, namely the dropping of the Sunday 5:00am repeat timeslot at the start of the month (from 4th October). However, there was one special screening added, to celebrate Hallowe'en. On the last day of the month, Saturday, 31st October, FOX8 screened their annual The Simpsons Hallowe'en Countdown from 8:30pm to midnight. Featuring were all eight Hallowe'en specials, from Seasons Two to Nine, shown in reverse order. Heading the line-up was Foxtel's first screening of the Season Nine Hallowe'en special (5F02). The standard streams continued from last month, weekdays screening the majority of Season Five and the start of Season Six; weekend mornings screening Seasons Five, Six and all but two episodes of Seven. Saturday and Sunday evenings covered the end of Season Seven and the second half of Season Six, respectively.
